Výborná otázka! Není to, na rozdíl od jeho jména, skutečný průzkum, jako s malými tlačítky kliknutí. Je to jen seznam mnohem více nebo méně náhodných otázek, které jsem na tomto blogu vysílal každý pondělí ráno pro minulé kvadrijní roky (od roku 2007).

1. have you started decorating for the holidays?

I have some Thanksgiving decorations up that I need to put away. as for Christmas decor, no not yet. hopefully sometime this week I’ll get some lights and ornaments up outside. We’ll probably do the tree this weekend or the next.

2. What things help you wake up when you’re feeling groggy?

One thing that always helps is washing my face with cold water. exercising first thing in the morning also wakes me up, too.

3. have you ever had a bunk bed?

No, although when I was a kid, I always thought it would be very amazing to have one, and then sleep in the top bunk!

4. A scent that says, “It’s the holidays,” for you?

Christmas trees and yearn needles. I love smelling a fresh tree inside my house.

5. Cranberry sauce: does it belong in sandwiches?

I don’t mind it in a turkey sandwich.

6. how did you do your eyeliner today?

I tightlined my upper lash line and roots with a dark brown gel liner (Ilia Dusk), and then I did a swish of brown liquid liner on the top lash line with a tiny little flick (Clinique pretty easy Pen in Brown).

7. Jeans: with or without some stretch?

Just a little bit of stretch but not too much. I don’t like it when jeans get too loose around the booty and knees.

8. A lipstick shade you wear a lot?

MAC velvet Teddy never lets me down.

9. Something you need to replace?

This might be TMI, but whatev! I’m way overdue to replace socks and underwear! Both situations are kinda stressing me out at the moment.

I got this parcel just before Christmas. Byl to můj druhý make-up swap, tentokrát s okouzlující Isabelle od ženy s blogem růžové tváře! We started chatting about doing this switch after my last one – as well as so, back in July, we formulated the swap guidelines: We get each other one thing under 10€ / $15 CAD monthly for 4 months (August to November), as well as mail out in time for Christmas. We wished to focus on brands / products not offered in our native countries – Isabelle lives in Belgium as well as I’m in Canada. happy December!  Now that I’m done project Pan, I have to be honest with you – I’ve been feeling a little stressed and lot guilty about the pile of makeup that have been waiting to be photographed, tested, and reviewed. ever since the floodgates opened this year for makeup buying, I’ve been amassing so many new items, all the while making mental notes to review them on the blog. The entire 3 months I was doing project Pan, I kept eyeing the ever growing pile.

This was from January, just a mishmash of items.
So for the month of December, instead of jingle jangle ho ho ho Christmas themed posts, I’m going to play catch up on all the items I’ve been meaning to review! Here’s a sneaky peek at what will be coming up.

I’m going to try to do the reviews in chronological order, from when these products entered my stash. Going aaaaaall the way back to last December, we have:

Christmas gifts from 2015:

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed the eye shadows yet. I took pictures and everything – I just need to swatch and type out my thoughts. Doh!

Body shop stuff – I bought quite a few new things from TBS in the past 11 months, and I’ve been meaning to review them (some I’ve already taken photographs of, ages ago):

Remember I had a winning streak? I have used some of the items I won but have yet to review them, most notably the NYX contour palette (from Sandie’s Stash), Maybelline naked palette and Makeup revolution Redemption palette in iconic 2 (both from the Helpless Whilst Drying’s Favourites massive Giveaway Goodies!).  But I did review the Carli Bybel palette that I won from MyStyleInsideOut (*pats self on the back*)

May & June haulage:

I kind of lost my mind just before my Japan trip and bought the NYX Avant Pop palette (from the blogger meetup), Lancome Auda[City] in Paris Eyeshadow palette (from the impromptu Lancome haul) and BH Cosmetics palette (from Winners). SO many PALETTES, what came over me?

And of course, the epic Japanese makeup Haul:

So many pretties, and I’ve only tried a few items so far. *Hangs head* I’ll probably be reviewing these products well into 2018!

Birthday Haul stuff:

Specifically, I want to review the 2 CoverGirl TruNaked palettes, the Shu Uemura palette, and the Charlotte Tilbury items!

Mediterranean cruise Haul stuff:

The Pupa palette, the Korres stuff – all waiting patiently in a basket to be photographed before I can even think of using them!

Don’t even get me started on all the nail polishes I bought in 2016 (here, here, and here…) those will last me well into 2017 for swatching.

And I won’t mention the latest bit of hauling from the Sephora VIB sale and Black Friday… those will have to wait in line!

So you can see, I’ve got a lot of photographing, testing and swatching to do! I can’t promise I’ll get through these in December (it’s not humanly possible) but I will try to make a dent in the list. Were there any items that I hauled last year you were waiting for me to review, that you want me to prioritize? let me know in the comments!

Po přečtení vašich skvělých komentářů na 5minutový skutečný život Fotd post druhého dne jsem si uvědomil, že spousta z vás má stejné vzít na make-up, jak jsem v tuto chvíli – miluješ to, ale nechcete nutně utratit tunu času.

Vzácné odvolací obavy Oční stínová paleta – Líbilo se mi různé povrchové úpravy. Matte, třpytky a třpyt!

Vzácné odvolání tání červenat v téměř meruňku – tento vzorec má být laskavý k suché pokožce.

Vzácné odvolání téměř přirozené krémové oční stíny – matný, teplý béžový. To trochu připomíná Mac měkký hnědý, ale ve formě smetanového stínu.

Vzácné odvolání Dewy Balzám rty v empatii – nemůžu se smát, ale já jsem se dostal většinou, protože se mi líbil jméno.

and here we go – starting to chip away at some of the items languishing in my stash waiting to be reviewed!

I’ve had these items in my stash for nearly a year! I did take photos of them back in September so I did manage to wear them on the weekends while I was doing project Pan.

Kiko is an Italian makeup brand that I first heard about from Pixiwoos (who else?) and I’d been wanting to get my paws on some items for ages. thankfully for me, I did a swap last year with the charming Isabelle of girl with Pink Cheeks and among the items she sent were these 3 Kiko pieces:

• color Fever Eyeshadow palette in 101 Coral Burgundy
• Moon dust face Powder in 02 Fairy Mauve
• shade fusion Trio blush in 05 Marsala

She pegged my makeup taste to a tee! Let’s have a look at each:

Color Fever Eyeshadow palette in 101 Coral burgundy (£13.90 / ~C$23.50)

This consists of 4 x 0.7g for a total of 2.8g of product. Typically, baked powders are a lot more airy and lighter weight compared to their non-baked counterparts.

This is a baked palette of 4 coordinating shimmery colours.  The colours are pigmented, long enduring and blend beautifully on the skin.

I’m not usually a huge fan of baked eye shadows because I find their pigmentation normally lacking – but not these!

The 2 lighter colours are a lot more shimmery whereas the darker 2 are a lot more of a satin finish.

My much-loved way to wear this is the darker burgundy shade in the outer third of the eye, the coral pink in the middle, the champagne in the inner corners, and the deepest shade along the lash line.

The compact looks so expensive – it reminds me of a Chanel eye shadow quad!

Moon dust face Powder in 02 Fairy Mauve (£6.90 / ~C$11.70)

Look at the pretty box!

I thought this were limited edition but it appears they’re part of the permanent line – thank goodness.

This is a stunning baked blush that rivals MAC Mineralize Skin finishes (and at a fraction of the price).

It imparts a glow onto the skin that isn’t garish and is suitable for wearing during daytime. Although this shade is called Mauve, this applies quite warm-toned – I would call the shade a muted peachy bronze (I just observed that it’s similar to the 2nd shade from the eye shadow palette – the blush is less pink and not as shimmery as the eye shadow though).

And the packaging on this one is really striking – the unusual heptagon pan shape along with the red bevelled case – I certainly won’t confuse this with any other blushes I own!

Shade fusion Trio blush in 05 Marsala (£10.90 / ~C$18.50)

After the shine and showiness of the other 2 baked items, this matte blush seems a little understated.

But I think this blush might be my much-loved item of the 3.

It is so versatile – you can use a small brush (I like MAC 109 small Contour Brush) to pick up just 1 of the shades. Or, you can swirl all 3 together for a combined colour. Or, if you’re game for a challenge, try using a flatter blush brush (like Anna Sui’s Cheek Brush) to sweep across all the colours without mixing them, and sweep onto the cheeks for a gradient blush (with the deepest shade functioning as a contour and the lightest shade as a highlight). It actually works!

The powder is so silky soft, it blends into the skin for a natural flush. I found the wear time of this blush to be exceptional – a lot more than 10 hours and still going strong.

I found it interesting that there is no consistency between the packaging of all 3 products – from matte black to splashy red to shiny chrome – I’m assuming they’re from different collections?

All of these products are made in Italy (but of course!) and do as well as any high-end products. I cannot believe how inexpensive these are and I’m so delighted that I received these in the swap – thank you Isabelle! (Kiko, I beg you, please please come to north america Canada!)
