včera jsem měl den (práce byla trochu náročná), takže jsem udělal nějakou terapii maloobchodní odrůdy na Sephora! Zvedl jsem nějaké produkty ze vzácné krásy, veganské a krutosti-zdarma make-up linky herečkou, zpěvákem (a vaření show hostitele!) Selena Gomez.

Po přečtení vašich skvělých komentářů na 5minutový skutečný život Fotd post druhého dne jsem si uvědomil, že spousta z vás má stejné vzít na make-up, jak jsem v tuto chvíli – miluješ to, ale nechcete nutně utratit tunu času.

Vzácné odvolací obavy Oční stínová paleta – Líbilo se mi různé povrchové úpravy. Matte, třpytky a třpyt!

Vzácné odvolání tání červenat v téměř meruňku – tento vzorec má být laskavý k suché pokožce.

Vzácné odvolání téměř přirozené krémové oční stíny – matný, teplý béžový. To trochu připomíná Mac měkký hnědý, ale ve formě smetanového stínu.

Vzácné odvolání Dewy Balzám rty v empatii – nemůžu se smát, ale já jsem se dostal většinou, protože se mi líbil jméno.

and here we go – starting to chip away at some of the items languishing in my stash waiting to be reviewed!

I’ve had these items in my stash for nearly a year! I did take photos of them back in September so I did manage to wear them on the weekends while I was doing project Pan.

Kiko is an Italian makeup brand that I first heard about from Pixiwoos (who else?) and I’d been wanting to get my paws on some items for ages. thankfully for me, I did a swap last year with the charming Isabelle of girl with Pink Cheeks and among the items she sent were these 3 Kiko pieces:

• color Fever Eyeshadow palette in 101 Coral Burgundy
• Moon dust face Powder in 02 Fairy Mauve
• shade fusion Trio blush in 05 Marsala

She pegged my makeup taste to a tee! Let’s have a look at each:

Color Fever Eyeshadow palette in 101 Coral burgundy (£13.90 / ~C$23.50)

This consists of 4 x 0.7g for a total of 2.8g of product. Typically, baked powders are a lot more airy and lighter weight compared to their non-baked counterparts.

This is a baked palette of 4 coordinating shimmery colours.  The colours are pigmented, long enduring and blend beautifully on the skin.

I’m not usually a huge fan of baked eye shadows because I find their pigmentation normally lacking – but not these!

The 2 lighter colours are a lot more shimmery whereas the darker 2 are a lot more of a satin finish.

My much-loved way to wear this is the darker burgundy shade in the outer third of the eye, the coral pink in the middle, the champagne in the inner corners, and the deepest shade along the lash line.

The compact looks so expensive – it reminds me of a Chanel eye shadow quad!

Moon dust face Powder in 02 Fairy Mauve (£6.90 / ~C$11.70)

Look at the pretty box!

I thought this were limited edition but it appears they’re part of the permanent line – thank goodness.

This is a stunning baked blush that rivals MAC Mineralize Skin finishes (and at a fraction of the price).

It imparts a glow onto the skin that isn’t garish and is suitable for wearing during daytime. Although this shade is called Mauve, this applies quite warm-toned – I would call the shade a muted peachy bronze (I just observed that it’s similar to the 2nd shade from the eye shadow palette – the blush is less pink and not as shimmery as the eye shadow though).

And the packaging on this one is really striking – the unusual heptagon pan shape along with the red bevelled case – I certainly won’t confuse this with any other blushes I own!

Shade fusion Trio blush in 05 Marsala (£10.90 / ~C$18.50)

After the shine and showiness of the other 2 baked items, this matte blush seems a little understated.

But I think this blush might be my much-loved item of the 3.

It is so versatile – you can use a small brush (I like MAC 109 small Contour Brush) to pick up just 1 of the shades. Or, you can swirl all 3 together for a combined colour. Or, if you’re game for a challenge, try using a flatter blush brush (like Anna Sui’s Cheek Brush) to sweep across all the colours without mixing them, and sweep onto the cheeks for a gradient blush (with the deepest shade functioning as a contour and the lightest shade as a highlight). It actually works!

The powder is so silky soft, it blends into the skin for a natural flush. I found the wear time of this blush to be exceptional – a lot more than 10 hours and still going strong.

I found it interesting that there is no consistency between the packaging of all 3 products – from matte black to splashy red to shiny chrome – I’m assuming they’re from different collections?

All of these products are made in Italy (but of course!) and do as well as any high-end products. I cannot believe how inexpensive these are and I’m so delighted that I received these in the swap – thank you Isabelle! (Kiko, I beg you, please please come to north america Canada!)

Všimli jste si různé intenzity v očních hodinách? Dvě nejtmavší odstíny (matný červenohnědý a matný švestka) jsou na Slavnější straně, které mi nevadí, protože to usnadňuje kontrolu úrovně intenzity.

Zjistil jsem, že když dostanu moudřejší v letech, musím být mnohem opatrnější, když nosím tmavší stíny; Pokud stíny jdou příliš tmavé a intenzivní, moje víčka s kapucí se zdají být těžší. Takže musím jít snadno a budovat tuto barvu pomalu, neustále!

Je to deštivý, zatažený den v Marin County, takže jsem rád, že mám na sobě jiskry.

I’m really back-logged with my posts as you can see, as this was meant to be posted before I left for vacation, but I didn’t have time to take photos. Ah well, better late than never!

So I wasn’t really planning on doing much makeup shopping before my trip but I’ve been finding some incredible stuff at Winners! I just couldn’t NOT buy this stuff:

Burberry! Armani! Nars! Paul & Joe! nail polishes from the newest collections! I couldn’t even fit everything into the frame.    I’ll start off with the craziest (aka the best!) things:

Armani Master Corrector in #2 Orange – $19.99

This has been on my wish list for ages, and I found it at Winners, of all places! and at such a good price (it retails for $42 on Sephora)! I also saw the #01 pink colour there too but I’d read the orange was the way to go. So excited to try this! (and Winners, good for you for locking up the pricier makeup!)

Burberry sheer foundation luminous Compact foundation in Trench #03- $29.99

This was a case of being at the right place at the right time. I was killing time after work one night and stopped into the Winners near work. There was an associate unpacking a bunch of new items and she was putting a few Burberry makeup items out – liquid foundation and pressed powders. They were all in those little locked cases and there were 2 shades of powders so I took them both up to the cashier to have them open them up for me to see the colours. One of the powders was completely shattered and it was also too dark for me. but this one was perfect and matched me. Skóre!

Paul & Joe Eye color CS in 097 Café Macchiato – $14.99

This sweet little eye shadow single was part of their fall 2015 collection. how cute is the owl packaging?

Paul & Joe Moisturizing foundation primer N – $19.99

My pal had actually told me about buying this primer at Winners and said she didn’t like it. but I was still curious about it so I got it to try.

Nars nail polish in Disco Inferno and other Side (from 3.1 Phillip Lim collab) – $8.99 each

Disco Inferno is such a neat duochrome shade that I seem to gravitate to. and other Side is nice vampy shade but not terribly unique, I might give this to a pal who likes Phillip Lim.

Mediheal Platinum V-Life vital Mask – 10 for $12.99

These look really good (contains glycerin, hyaluronic acid and witch hazel) and I was surprised to find it was less than $15 for the box of 10, most of the boxes I’ve seen are $30.

More nail polishes: I was so psyched to see the new China Glaze 2016 spring and summer collections at Winners! I bought a few… go head and judge me.

BH Cosmetics Smokey Eyes – 28 color Eyeshadow palette – $12.99

Finally, I found one of these palettes that haven’t been opened and played with. There were 3 colour options available: Neutral Eyes, vital Eyes, and Smokey Eyes.  I was tempted by the first two but I went with this one that had a little bit of colour. This is officially the largest eye shadow palette I own, and my first ever of these 28 pans that are popular from the likes of BH Cosmetics, Coastal Scents, Sedona Lace, and Morphe.

Paula Dorf 5 Eyeshadow Collection (contains L to R: Grace, Mauve, Gunmetal, Riot, and Forest) – $6.99

I’ve been seeing lots of “brand name” makeup at Winners lately by Ellen Tracy, Max studio and Paula Dorf. most of them are made in China so I’ve been hesitant to try them.  These look decent and reminiscent of the Eye Glimmers, however, I found this article that states Paula Dorf herself is slamming these makeup products as devaluing her name. I guess that’s what happens when your company goes bankrupt and sells the brand rights to someone else.

Cala make-up Blending Sponge

This looks really similar to my favourite Quo sponge so I’m giving it a test.

Suisse Clinians intense A lifting Anti-aging Toner

Random toner with good ingredients (with retinol and hyaluronic acid) and made in Italy.

And I’ve been on a perfume buying rampage!  I picked these up on separate visits… I really like philosophy fragrances and couldn’t resist:

• love sweet love – fruity grapefruit & mango
• inner Grace – I couldn’t find specific notes on this and it’s discontinued, but it features Egyptian Musk, and is typically compared to Narcisso Rodriguez for Her and Sarah Jessica Parker’s lovely – but a bit more toned down.
• Loveswept – passionfruit & jasmine
I’ve tried all three on my skin now and my favourite so far is love sweet love – a grapefruity scent that’s perfect for summer!

And now I’m banning myself from shopping at Winners for a littleZatímco (a byl jsem úspěšný v červnu zatím – žádný make-up nákupy tam tento měsíc!) Vždy mě dostanou s myšlenkou, že pokud něco najdete, kupte si to teď! A vždycky mám pocit, že mi chybí, pokud se nezastavím alespoň jednou týdně, protože po celou dobu dostanou nové zásilky. Budu vyzván, abych jen jednou jdou každý týden. Jste vítězové / Marshalls / TJMAXX / TKMAXX / Sleva Store Addict?

I keep in mind a time when Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) was solely a brow product brand.  And look at it now!  According to Sephora, their most prominent product is their Modern Renaissance Eye shadow Palette.  You understand me, I can’t dedicate to a big scale combination so I was rather psyched when I discovered that ABH introduced single refills as well as a customizable palette.

I got these right before Christmas last year as gifts to myself.

ABH currently offers a whopping 104 colours in their single shadow line. They’re split into 7 finishes: Satin, Metallic, Ultra-Matte, Velvet, Shimmer, Titanium, Duo-chrome, as well as shimmer (the completes are listed in a different way on Sephora versus ABH’s site – I default to ABH’s descriptions).

The eye shadow singles offer routinely for C$16 each, as well as the empty 4-pan combination is valued at $8. Sephora offers a filled combination for $56 ($74 value), which is a $18 savings.

Each pan contains between 1.5g to 1.7g of product (Chiffon as well as chocolate Crumble are 1.5g, Rosette is 1.6g, as well as comfort is 1.7g) – similar to other single shadows.  The packaging for every refill is extremely secure, each pan is housed in a plastic clam shell inside cardboard sleeves.

After extensive research, I settled on these 4 colours:

Chiffon: antique gold (Titanium)
Comfort: antique copper (Satin)
Chocolate Crumble: smoky amethyst (Titanium)
Rosette: burgundy shimmer (Titanium)

I’ve tested out these eye shadows for about a month as well as right here are my thoughts on them.

I was most looking ahead to trying the Titanium surface shades – hence why I got 3 of them! – as they look gorgeous in the swatches I’ve seen online. I would explain the Titanium surface as a shinier than a shimmer, however not as shiny as a metallic. The formulas aren’t consistent across the 3 Titanium completes I tried.  Chiffon as well as chocolate Crumble are most similar – their structure are a bit chunkier as well as behave like pressed pigment. Rosette is drier as well as less pigmented, as well as apply more like a velvet finish. comfort is a Satin surface as well as used rather similar to Chiffon – I discovered both to be extremely smooth as well as pigmented.  The colours are gorgeous when swatched:

A major problem I dealt with was that while the shadows used well on the lids with a shader clean (in a patting motion), as soon as I started to blend, the colour would blend away to nothing. I frequently had to add 2 or 3 layers to preserve the intensity I wanted. There was likewise rather a bit of autumn out – I feel as though there’s a binding component missing from this shadow formula.  The inconsistency between the Titanium surface likewise meant the 3 shades perform differently: I discovered both chocolate Crumble as well as Rosette to fade on my lids as well as crease at around the 6 hr mark. comfort as well as Chiffon lasted much better however the longest they stayed looking intact was around 8 hrs (I always utilize my usual primer as well as eye base).  To put the hours into point of view – I get prepared in the mornings at around 7am, as well as by around 1pm, my eye shadows are starting to fade as well as crease.

I was expecting more of these shadows since so many people rave about the high quality of ABH eye shadow palettes.  Plus, these are $16 each (compare that to $8 for MAC refills). I was surprised that out of the 4 shades I tried, my favourite [turned out to be] the shade Comfort, the lone Satin finish!  Rosette was my least favourite. At the end of the day, I’m unsure if I’d purchase more ABH shadows – there are just so many brands / choices out there.

Interestingly, Chiffon, comfort as well as chocolate Crumble are made in the US, whereas Rosette is made in Italy.

Actually, I do truly like the ABH empty combination – it is almost similar to the MAC 4-pan pro combination except there are indents to more quickly eliminate each refill pan.  Unlike the MAC palette, the ABH combination itself is magnetized while the refill pans are not (the reverse is true for MAC’s system).

The finest part? The ABH empty palette is now offered on Sephora for only $1, no strings attached! I’m relatively specific this is  new cost decrease – I assumption the concept is that a person would buy the ABH eye shadow singles to fill the palette, however I’m most likely going to just refill them with other 26mm eye shadow refills (MAC, ColourPop, mug etc).

Profesionálové:
• extremely pigmented
• wide range of shades as well as finishes
• blends well

Nevýhody:
• Colours blend away easily
• considerable autumn out
• Not long using (fading as well as creasing)
• costly compared to other refill systems

Stash worthiness: 6/10

I should qualify that my score is restricted to just these 4 shades that I’ve tried. perhaps this is a harsh general rating, however I just havE Žádná tolerance pro nákladné oční stíny, které provádějí špatně. Upřesnil bych, že komfort stínu je 7/10, stejně jako prázdná paleta je 9/10.

Zde jsou některé srovnání mezi barvami ABH, stejně jako další podobné odstíny v mé skrýš:

Šifón proti Shu Uemura P Gold 350, Mac Mořské uctívání, stejně jako pobřežní vůně Cherry Moss

Pobřežní vůně Cherry Moss je relativně podobný kromě teplé základní barvy.

Komfort proti Mac Woodwinked, Ardency Inn zvýšil zlato, stejně jako Shisiedo Br214 do dřeva trio (levá pánev)

Na očních víčkách je Shiseido podobné.

Čokoláda rozpadá proti Mac odcizené moment, Satin Taupe, stejně jako Lancome Ageless Taupe

Mělo by to přijít jako žádné překvapení, že jsem v podstatě vlastnit přesný taupe barvu 3 krát znovu. Vzorec na ostatních funguje mnohem lépe než abh.

Růžice proti Mac Rich Core, Burberry Mulberry, stejně jako MUFE D826 Obr

MUFE FAG má podobný tón, ale je to mnohem více třpytivé.

Je to vždycky fascinující snaží zjistit podobné odstíny – pár z nich vypadá tak podobně v pánvi, nicméně, když se vzbočil, nevypadají všechny, že podobné, stejně jako naopak!

Tyto stíny jsou mé první produkty ABH. Vyzkoušeli jste ABH oční stíny? Nebo jiné položky abh? Co si myslíte? Jsem stále nerozhodnutý o této značce – slyšel jsem, že jejich produkty rtů mají být dobré.

Zapomněl jsem si vzít skupinový výstřel a byl příliš líný, abych si vzal položky z tašky pro recyklaci.
Zpočátku jsem cítil, že moje pára se trochu zmenšila ke konci roku, aby dokončila produkty, ale jakmile jsem začal uvést je, zjistil jsem, že jsem v posledních 2 měsících dokončil několik položek. Rozhodl jsem se udělat velký příspěvek namísto oddělení do 2 příspěvků, tak chytit šálek horkého čaje.

Péče o kůži

Diaxermine pH5 hydratant chráníteur soin de jour – € 4,10 pro 50 ml
Byl jsem poslal to Joyce a je to nádherný denní krém! Byl jsem zpočátku ustaraný, že by to nebylo dostatečně hydratační pro chladnější měsíce, ale to fungovalo tak dobře. Nosí dokonale pod make-upem a udržuje suché skvrny v zátoce. Je to tak optimální rovnováha hluboké hydratace, zatímco neotáčejí obličej do tukové koule. Moje kůže se neukázala nebo negativně nereagovala vůbec. Tam je mírná parfémová vůně, ale neléká se. Také se mi líbí kompaktní trubice – sanitární a dobré pro cestování. Kibio ki-crème – 37 dolarů za 50ml
Také se mi podařilo použít svůj noční krém v prosinci. To poskytuje úžasnou hydrataci v důsledku obsahu bambuckého másla, ale nechává trochu lesklý pohled na kůži. Pokusil jsem se o to používat během dne, ale pilulky na nadaci. Celá linka Kibio byla smutně přerušena.

Shiseido beneficiance wrinkleresist24 Intenzivní oko konturový krém – 70 dolarů za 15ml
Jak jsem se zmínil v mém nedávném Hg postu, kdyby to Shiseido někdy přerušil nebo přeformuloval, by to bylo peklo! Jsem si jistý, že mnoho tisíc dalších loajálních zákazníků by se cítilo stejně. To hluboce hydráty mé pod okem, nezpůsobuje milia a cítím, pomáhal s jemnými liniemi. Také, tento malý sklenice mi trvá nejméně 9 měsíců, protože je to s každou aplikací potřebnou tak málo. Tento produkt je nejznámějším Grails!

Čistá + jednoduchá kyselina mléčná plus 10% – $ 60.45 pro 50ml
Dostal jsem to za poloviční cenu během čistého + jednoduchého pleťového obchodu – v loňském roce. Je to dobrý Aha chemický exfoliant, ale to může bodnout kůži zcela ostře – produkty nemusí být nepříjemné “show”, že to funguje. Také si myslím, že je to předražené za to, co to je. Tento produkt tvrdí, že není dehydratovat pokožku, ale zjistil jsem, že se suší. Obvykle to musím spárovat s jiným sérem a používat jej pouze jednou týdně.

Elizabeth Grant Supreme Cell Vitality 3-in-1 čistící prostředek – $ 30 za 240ml
To byl vánoční dárek před 2 lety a konečně jsem se dostal na to. Vůně tohoto produktu je pravděpodobně moje oblíbená věc o tom – jako měkké citrusy s nádechem vanilky. To je pěkně pěn a je jemný na kůži.

Tento nádherný produkt je přerušen (samozřejmě!) Ale podařilo se mi v dubnu vstoupit. Zatím jsem to udělal úplný přehled.

Mario Badescu obličejový sprej s Aloe, bylinky a růžová voda – $ 9 pro 118ml
To je kultovní favorit a bylo to dobré, ale ne mysli-bouzeně dobré. Nenašel jsem to jako hydratující jako jiné mlhy obličeje, které jsem se snažil jako muji vysoký vlhkost toneru nebo sukin hydratační mlhy toneru. Pozorování: omylem ochutnal tento produkt (postřik s ústy částečně otevřené, Doh) a chutná mírně sladká. Ne, nepil jsem to, abych to použil!

Lise Watier Magnifix make-up fixační s bílým čajem – $ 26 pro 115ml
To byl můj oblíbený make-up upevňovací sprej, dokud jsem nenašel avon. Vůně je to největší remíza pro mě – miluji čajové vůně! Tento sprej bází glycerinu není tak moc jako můj make-up, protože se zbaví práškového vzhledu na kůži. To pomáhá prodloužit opotřebení make-upu, ale ne, stejně jako další nastavení spreje na trhu.

There’s a bit of tingle with this mask which I wasn’t expecting. My skin felt plump and hydrated after using this. I also love the scent of this – reminds me a bit of an artificial almond smell rather than avocado though. This is my favourite of the Tony Moly masks that I’ve tried so far.

Naisture sweet Honey Mask pack – $1.13
Got this from the pack of masks off miss A. The sheet was a medium thickness, and fit nicely on my face (tiny bit short on my forehead) and there was a good amount of serum. I especially liked the soft honey scent and how soothing it felt on my skin. The next morning my skin felt supple and hydrated – just as the mask promised.

The Creme shop Milk face Mask – $1.13
This smelled nice and that’s all I can really say about it. I’ve tried enough of these Creme shop masks to know that I’m not a fan of them – the material feels low-cost and I haven’t experienced any results with any of the masks.

Tony Moly I’m real brilliance Tomato Mask – $1.67 (12 for $20 deal)
I was afraid I wouldn’t love this one after buying 3 of them, blindly. This mask is probably the most raved about of all of the TM I’m real line… and I’m not really sure why. There’s nothing remarkable about it. I didn’t find my skin showed any benefits and I didn’t wake up with radiant skin in the morning. fear not, it doesn’t actually smell like tomatoes, more like soapy wilted salad.

Tony Moly Pureness 100 Collagen Mask – $1.67 (12 for $20 deal)
The first noticeable thing about this mask is that it’s made of an unbleached material so it contains little speckles of dark particles (wood chips?) The fit was pretty good but the sheet itself is on the thicker side so it has a tendency to not stick completely to the skin. It contained a good amount of serum – there’s a soft floral scent to the serum which wasn’t offensive. My skin was smooth and plump in the morning.

Mediheal Platinum V-Life vital Mask x5 – $12.99 for a box of 10
I took a risk buying a box of 10 at Winners and ended up loving this mask. It’s a shame that it’s impossible to find them again.  In my last trash Stash, I vowed to finish up the box – I had 5 left and voila, I finished them all.  I reviewed this mask as part of my 30 Day masking Challenge.

Malibu Glitz Facial Mask in Pearl – $1.13
This is the fourth mask I’ve tried from this brand and while the others only scored 6/10, this one is better. Where the others irritated my eyes, this one didn’t. The material of this mask is really thin and the serum was soothing.

Etude House 0.2 therapy Air Mask Hyaluronic Acid – $1.30 each
This mask is my favourite sheet mask that I’ve tried – it checks all the boxes for me: fit, amount of serum, and noticeable results. The more masks I try, the more they reinforce for me how much I love this one!

C.O. Bigelow Cinnamint supreme 2X Lip shine – $8 for 14g
This cinnamon flavour is too strong for my liking – I prefer the more mellow scent of Vanillamint. but the formula is stellar – see my rave review on all of the flavours here.

H&M Overnight Lip Rescue – $10 for 8ml
If scented or flavoured lip treatment isn’t for you, this is a wonderful alternative to the C.O. Bigelow supreme 2X Lip Shine. It has a thick formula that isn’t sticky and stays put through the night, and contains shea butter in the formula.  I should mention that both this and the C.O. Bigelow have a slanted applicator opening, which I find useful.

A staple in my skincare routine. I like how these are lint-free and have a meshy exfoliating side.

The face shop Konjac cleaning Puff – $4
My favourite konjac sponge and still the best price. It’s got a soft squishy texture when wet that is super gentle on the skin. I use this in the mornings in the shower with a foaming face wash.

Nova Scotia Fisherman original lotion – $10.95 for 100ml
I hauled this here and intended to use this as hand cream but I found it too lightweight for that purpose. I used it up as body lotion but 100ml doesn’t last very long.  I used up this tube in about 2 weeks. It’s a non-greasy and hydrating lotion that has a light shea scent.  next time I need to get the larger size with the pump!

Dormer 211 cream – $16 for 110ml
This is such a terrific no-frills moisturizer that I’ve bought on and off for years. I used to use this on my face but I found it to be a bit too thick so I ended up using it on my feet. I recommend this if you have super sensitive and dry skin. It’s fragrance-free and contains fairly basic ingredients like glycerin, hyaluronic acid but it does contain mineral oil and petrolatum which some people don’t care for.

Garnier Intensive 7 Days Soothing lotion with Honey
I was skeptical about the claim that this provided lasting hydration. Now, I don’t know about 7 days since I shower daily, but, it does provide hydration all day.  Often, my skin feels itchy and tight by nighttime with other lotions so I have to reapply in the evenings but not with this one.  The honey scent is lovely too – soft and comforting. Sadly, I just learned that this is discontinued. teach me to wait so long to use something!

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse (Multi-Purpose dry Oil) – $27 for 50ml
I love this stuff for my scalp during the cold, dry months. It’s not greasy at all but provides a terrific barrier to the winter air. but I use such a tiny amount each time that I was concerned my bottle would go rancid after having it for a few years so I decided to use this up on my body. It smells like a summer vacation so it has been terrific to counteract the nasty winter we’re having. I always opt for the smaller bottle since I take so long to finish it, plus, I don’t like that the larger bottle has a spray nozzle – this one just has a hole to pour out the oil.

LUSH Sleepy Body lotion – $9.95 for 90g
This is meant to bring a sense of calm as a nighttime routine but I used this up as my morning lotion!   normally lavender isn’t my favourite but the tonka adds a sweetness I like. This is a thicker consistency lotion so it does take some time for it to absorb into the skin. This small pot did not last me long – about 2 weeks only. contrary to popular belief, I don’t eat my body lotion, I just like to apply a liberal amount, sometimes twice daily.

Kiehl’s Richly Hydrating Hand cream in Coriander – $20 for 75ml
I enjoy this hand cream mainly for its scent. The product itself can be slightly emollient so I can only use this at night. It’s expensive for what it is too. This tube lasted me about 3 months.

The Body shop Wild rose Hand cream – $10 for 30ml
I haven’t tried TBS hand creams before and was worried it would be a greasy mess but this actually has a whipped / sorbet like texture and feels quite lightweight. When massaging into the skin though, it becomes quite thin and feels like dry oil but doesn’t absorb well into the skin. I didn’t feel my hands were well moisturized when I used this. I ended up using this on my feet at night. The rose scent was lovely though – soft and authentic.
